OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) -- A man and a woman, both believed to be in their 50s, were found dead in a northeastern Kent County field apparently from gunshot wounds.

Police were called to the 1400 block of Beardslee Rd. at 7:30 a.m. Monday. There, they found the bodies in a field.

Two people are in custody. Police told 24 Hour News 8 they were looking for a third suspect, but no longer believe that person is involved. Police told 24 Hour News 8 that two people were arrested without incident at the Marathon gas station near the corner of 14 Mile Road and Lincoln Lake Road.

A truck was found in a field near the scene, and investigators are trying to determine if that truck is connected in any way.
