GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) -- A fight at the Flamingo Lounge in Grand Rapids got out of control Saturday evening, sending three people to the hospital, one of them with stab wounds.

Police tell 24 Hour News 8 that an altercation erupted just before 11 p.m. Saturday at the bar in the 900 block of Bridge St. NW. When police arrived, they found two victims that had been injured when they were hit by broken bottles.

Investigators at the scene were told by witnesses that a third victim was stabbed, but police were unable to locate him at first. However, the victim later turned up at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, and was taken into surgery. Police say his stab wounds do not appear to be life-threatening.

The fight at the bar involved several people, including some woman that may have been involved in a relationship with one of the victims, according to police.

Police say one of the victims injured by a bottle instigated the fight. Once released from the hospital, he will be taken into custody.
