GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) -- A domestic situation on the northwest side of Grand Rapids early Sunday morning left one woman injured after shots were fired.

Police say the incident involved a boyfriend and girlfriend near Coit and Montrose. The woman was in her car when she claims she was shot at.

The woman was hurt by broken glass from the car, and while police were unable to find evidence of a shooting, they did say something hit the windshield, causing the glass to break.

The suspect in the shooting then fled the scene on a moped.

He was later taken into custody near the Orchard Place apartment complex on Knapp.

Police say the woman's brothers became involved in the situation as well, which resulted in more gunshots. No one was hurt by the second round of shots.

The incident is still being investigated.
